Let’s be real—social media has turned into one big marketplace. Whether you realize it or not, you’re constantly being influenced to buy something every time you scroll.
Think about it. How many times have you:
👉 Tried a new restaurant because a friend raved about it?
👉 Bought a pair of leggings because someone shared them on Instagram?
👉 Clicked “add to cart” after seeing a product go viral on TikTok?

We all share what we love. It’s natural! We recommend our favorite coffee shops, skincare, workout gear, baby products—because when something works for us, we want others to experience it too. That’s how word-of-mouth has always worked.
But here’s where it gets interesting…
When someone in direct sales shares about a product they genuinely love and gets paid for it, suddenly people have something to say.
Why?
The irony is, brands want you to share. They count on it! That’s why influencer marketing is so huge. The only difference? Influencers and social sellers get a cut when someone shops from their link, while most people do it for free.
So, if I have the opportunity to share products I believe in and get compensated for my time and effort—why wouldn’t I? Especially as a busy mom who wants flexibility and financial freedom?
I’m not here to push products. I’m here to help people. If something has made a difference in my life—whether it’s better sleep, reduced stress, or just feeling good in my own skin—I want to tell other moms about it. And if that also helps me contribute to my family’s income, that’s just smart business.
The reality is, we’re all selling something. Some people just aren’t getting paid for it.
Which one would you rather be? 😉
